Alright, it’s crunch time everyone! You have a few days left to get your Valentine’s Day plans together, so I’m going to jump right into my suggestions for the prefect V-day gift.
College
If you or your significant other are in college working on your future careers, money might be tight. So instead of spending on a cheesy box of chocolates and a fuzzy bear get creative and plan an experience.
Memories truly last a lifetime, so think about that special person and what she really enjoys or needs. Has she been busting her ass off studying? Then make plans for a nice outdoor picnic or hike to help de-stress from looking at a book or laptop all day.
However, if you would like to go a little further and get a gift here are some ideas. A new backpack would be great especially if your girl is always hauling a laptop and books around campus. Staying hydrated and caffeinated is necessary to keep up with the late night studying and last minute assignments. Air pods are the perfect way to keep people from distracting her from studying, it gives off a “I’m busy” vibe. Lastly, hook her up with a cool hat and save her from bad hair days.

“Ain’t No Hood Like Motherhood”
Although I can not speak on behalf of all mothers I know motherhood is one hella of a ride. I can’t wait for my baby girl to get here so I can join that wild ride. However, for the most part I’ve heard from other mothers how difficult it is to get some “me time” once you’ve started your own family. “Me time” can mean many different things for everyone, for example a self care day always refreshes me and is my go to. However, think about your partner and what they would like for their own self care day. For example
- Massage
- Mani/Pedi
- Hair Appointment
- A new book
- Time to binge watch a show
- Hang out with friends
All of these things need to be Kid(s) Free! Let your significant other relax and recharge, they will come back feeling refreshed and ready to tackle motherhood like the bad ass that she is.
Work Out Obsessed
Does your signifcant other count going to the gym as a hot date? If so, try out something new and different than your usual gym routine. Try out a new workout class together such as rock climbing, spinning, yoga etc.
If you got the cash for it then hook up your Boo up with some new work out gear.

Valentine’s Day is all about showing your loved one appreciation and affection, which doesn’t need to come gift wrapped. I hope you spend V-Day with someone you love and enjoy each other to the fullest.
